Dubai - The ugliest city I've visited

I've only been 24 hours in Dubai, so I can't really claim I know much about the city-life. But I went around the city and also met some friends there that also gave me some good tips and showed me around.

Dubai is a very impressive city, because it's undeniable that the architecture of the buildings is astonishing. The city is neat, clean, and has many luxurious buildings, malls, best cars, and very good subways. However, that's all there is about this city. It's all about spending petrodollars to impressive rich-tourists with its trillions of tons of concrete. But I can't say Dubai is a city with a personality of itself. I cannot say it's friendly, because it's totally the opposite. At the most I can say that people are correct, but there is a strong racism towards dark skin and Southeast Asians, and towards the menial workers. These can be even hit by their employers as a common thing. And other types of humiliation are too common.

The city is not friendly for the pedestrian, because it's connected through a system of highways; and you have to depend on having a car, and finding a taxi (which is not as easy as in more normal cities).

Life in Dubai is about showing-off brands and spending money. There is nothing else to do. NOTHING AT ALL. Even the beach, if you can stand that too-warm water, is full of protocols that you need be careful and aware of in order not to get into trouble.

At the same time, I see this city doesn't stop growing. And they are still playing the immature game of who beats the neighbor with the tallest building (that game that was invented by the West until it moved to more important tasks). There is a very high-end tourism that goes to Dubai. But not nearly as much as the availability that has been created. Never nearly as much! Actually, I would say that Dubai is a huge farce, and it will never fill all those huge monsters that will remain mostly empty forever, until the desert takes back what is hers some day. But Dubai cannot afford now to stop that absurd bubble of building and building useless monsters (useless regardless of how luxurious and impressive they look). The fact is that the

y day they run out of petrodollars and are forced to stop building, they will have the huge problem of all those immigrants that they so much degrade and humiliate. How will they manage to force them ALL to leave back home? It wont be so easy...! That's why I say that Dubai could be called the ugliest city in the world as per how much has been accomplished per every dollar that has been spent (or wasted?) in it.
